Roompot Resort Arcen

The homes are perfectly fine for a weekend or a week, though they aren't especially large or modern. It's a good-value, child-friendly resort with several playgrounds, outdoor swimming, an indoor pool and plenty of daily activities. The surrounding area is beautiful and worth exploring by rented bike, e-bike or electric scooter. They also have bikes with child seats. In Arcen village there are plenty of restaurants, and dessert at Clevers IJssalon is a must.

We had a great time here before, and the latest visit was just as good. Your choice of house matters, since some come with an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The hotel is around 300 m from the Dutch-German border, so you can walk into Germany if you get bored, though that's unlikely. We visited in winter last time and even the snow was fun. Summer is probably more enjoyable, since that's what the place is made for. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

We've spent two long weekends here. On our first stay the little bungalow was good, though the rooms felt a bit tight. Most recently we had a three-bedroom apartment, a nice place with all the amenities we needed. One bedside lamp was broken, and the plugs on the bedside lamps were bent, but nothing major. We'll be back more often.

Everything seemed fine in this cosy chalet. The kitchen was modern and nice, the beds decent, and both the bathroom and sauna were pleasant. No complaints.
