I was struck by how spacious, well-equipped, and quiet the room was. This boutique hotel is right in the heart of Arnhem, a historic city in the Netherlands, and feels like a rare gem. The managers are truly committed to high-quality service for their guests. I can't find enough words for how good the stay was. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Arnhem, give it a try and experience this gem for yourself.

The front of hotel Karel is a bakery, so breakfast came with delicious fresh bread and croissants. The service was very friendly, and we also liked the charming location, with a couple of small wine bars and restaurants nearby. We had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and nice, and the shower was particularly good. Full marks.

The bakery itself is cozy, and its bread and pastries are excellent, but the owner's and employees' constant bad mood has become too much. They're really unfriendly, rude, and cranky, and make you feel as if you've done something wrong. After more than two years of buying their products loyally and recommending the place to friends, we're done. I've tried to forgive how they treat us, but not anymore. The location is good.

I stayed here with my mum and a friend, and the food was amazing. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, and I loved the inside garden. The bakery always smelled like cinnamon buns. I'd definitely recommend it 🥰

You walk through the bakery to reach the rooms, so coming home always means that wonderful smell of croissants and cinnamon buns. I had a wonderful stay here with my girlfriend, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
