De Twee Linden

The only downside was some morning noise from the parking area right outside the rooms. Everything else made me very happy: the staff were lovely, and when I headed off early on Sunday they packed a small breakfast box. Every item was just right, especially the brownie. It's a nice local copy place, and I'd definitely come back.

The Wi-Fi was practically unusable because it was so slow. The setup also raised serious security and privacy concerns: the access point still had default credentials, guests could see one another's devices, and the guest network could reach the hotel's IT equipment. In the room, I found mold and silverfish, and some lights were broken. Housekeeping also came in even though I had put the room on "Do Not Disturb," which felt intrusive. Dining was another letdown. We waited over an hour for our food, the orders weren't right, and the waiters seemed more focused on chatting at the bar than helping guests. Breakfast had very little variety, with several items missing. My stay at Hotel Restaurant De Twee Linden fell well short of what its promising appearance suggested. With the room, service, food, and connectivity all disappointing, I can't recommend it.

The breakfast was only just adequate, and having to check out at 10:30 AM was tough after a tiring day. I needed to sleep until at least 11. Still, I liked the hotel: the hosts were great, the room was clean and tidy, and the beds were really comfortable. It looked great too, and I'd stay here again.

What a joke. My booking was confirmed, but the hotel was closed when I got there. Nobody sent a cancellation or any information. Such a pity. I hope they don't charge me for it.
