Fletcher Parkhotel Val Monte

The only thing that bothered me was the bathroom light, which came on with a movement sensor. We had a baby with us, and each time we went in, it woke them up. Apart from that, our stay was very comfortable. The hotel is lovely and close to a large forest, a great fit for anyone wanting peace and quiet. There’s a swimming pool, and breakfast offered plenty of choice, including yogurt, cereal, fruit, bread, and lots of sweet and savory toppings.

We spent one night here, and it was frustrating from start to finish. We’d booked a double bed but got two single beds at different heights. After asking to move, we were put in a smaller room that also had two singles. Eventually we were sent back to the first room, and the receptionist said they’d bring a double sheet to join the beds, but it never came. My wife and I both woke up with itchy eyes, which we suspect was from dust and poor room cleanliness. For what we paid, the quality and service weren’t acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The hotel is set in a forest, which I really liked. It’s a great place to stay, a genuine 3-4 star hotel, and both the food and service were great for us.

The setting was amazing, with trees, hilly walks to the streets, and an open garden for team-building activities. The meeting rooms were good too, with a coffee machine, plenty of drinking water, snacks refreshed twice a day, and accessible toilets. We were welcomed well when we arrived for an office meet-up, and our rooms were assigned. But there was no AC in the rooms, so we had to leave the big windows open to stay cool in bed. The birds began singing around 04.00a.m. in the lush surroundings, and it was so loud I couldn’t sleep. Four other colleagues said the same. Breakfast had a good selection of nuts, cereals, a few kinds of seeds, bread, bacon, eggs, and pancakes, but it was the same every day for all 3 days. After dinner on the first evening, the staff’s attitude toward our office group changed. I was told off for drinking water from a machine, which was unplugged right in front of me. I don’t want to say what happened with others, but it was pretty mean.
