Hotelroom Villa 1913

The beach was easy to reach by car or bike, and the supermarket was close at hand. We stayed midweek in cottage Idille and really liked how quiet it was, even though the charming center, with its shops and restaurants, was only two streets away. The place had all the conveniences we needed and two terraces that felt private. There was always a street parking spot, and the owner registered us with the parking app so we could park throughout the village. We’d happily come back.

Room 1 is small but cozy, and had the essentials, including a washing machine and iron. We could park in front of the house, ideally, or on the street, with the hostess arranging a digital parking ticket. She was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. The location was perfect too, a short walk to the town center or the nearby forest leading to the famous Bergen dunes.

The apartment is right in the center, and the beach is 6 km away, an easy bike ride. It was nicely furnished, with a table and chairs on the terrace, and the hosts were lovely. We did miss having an oven. If you're bringing dogs, keep them on a leash, since the owners have a dog and several cats of their own.

There’s a carport with bike racks, and guests can use the many free street parking spaces. The house is close to the center but wonderfully quiet. Everything was in excellent condition, with all the things we needed. The garden has tables and chairs spread across several little separate areas.
