The accommodation wasn't clean either, as other reviews have said. The owner scratched my brand new car while pulling out of his parking spot. I saw it happen. He first denied it, then played down what had happened. Even after several reminders, he never paid for the damage. I'll gladly update this review if I'm reimbursed for the repairs.

The house is in a prime spot in Bergen and is very peaceful. The owner lives in the same house as the guests, and having parking spaces behind the house was a real plus. I'd gladly stay here again.

The owner was friendly and hospitable, and the location is lovely, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Parking on the property was easy. The upstairs apartment could use some maintenance and feel more welcoming: there were holes in the lampshade, some of the skirting boards were missing, and the walls really needed a fresh coat of paint.

The bathroom had no electrical outlet, and some light bulbs were broken. They were replaced after we complained. The furniture was very worn and the place badly needs renovation and investment. Cleanliness was another problem: we rarely stay somewhere this dirty, with cobwebs, grime, hair from the landlord in the bathroom, and thick dirt on the baseboards. We raised the issues, they were dealt with, and we could carry on with our vacation. The location is a real plus, just minutes from the center of Bergen while still quiet. But at €250 a day, the price didn't match what we got. It's a shame, because the house has so much potential. We won't book this accommodation again.
