The park itself was lovely, with pretty grounds and houses in different shapes. The house and sauna were nice too, and I could imagine buying a place there someday. But the beds were horribly uncomfortable, and the jacuzzi didn’t work. To contact reception, I was expected to walk over and use an intercom. The biggest problem was the €191 departure cleaning charge. The rules said to leave the house as we found it, and we were asked to strip the beds, wash the dishes, clean the fridge, turn it off, lower the heater, and take out the rubbish. We spent our last morning tidying up while also getting the kids sorted and packing. I swept, wiped the counters, fridge and oven, and cleaned the shower glass, floors and basins. There was no sink plug for washing dishes, and I didn’t find anything that seemed to need cleaning. There was food under the table and couch, though. Paying €191 felt like a rip-off of hard-earned money, especially when the cleaner would apparently only need to collect the linen. They’ll probably spend five hours sitting and watching TV with nothing to do.

The view was lovely and everything else was very nice. One thing we didn’t like was how easily sound travels between the rooms in our prefabricated house. Towels weren’t charged separately, but I still didn’t think that was a very nice arrangement.

The children loved the playground, and the pool was great. The grounds were clean, the houses comfortable, and the staff gave good service. It’s a lovely place for a family holiday, with beautiful nature and cozy houses. We arrived on a very hot day and, because of our booking mistake, had a house without air conditioning. After some discussion, the office staff moved us the next day to a house with better conditions and air conditioning. Thanks to them for that. We also ordered the barbecue service. It was tasty, with good prices and quality. The laundry room came in handy with children along, and the park has the facilities for a great vacation.

The park is beautiful, and the pool is great, but it’s a long way from anywhere. There’s no food available, and even the vending machine wouldn’t dispense anything. We walked almost three hours round trip to shop. Some family members had to walk an hour with their luggage to leave, and taxis either took hours or never came. We were charged for food we ordered, but it wasn’t delivered. I know that part wasn’t the park’s fault. It just seems nobody will drive out there. The grounds are so large that reception can be a long walk away. We felt stranded, and it was scary: we arrived without food and got dehydrated, with limited phone service as foreigners. We should have brought coolers and a car. With those, it would have been a great place. Be prepared to camp, basically.

The cottage was spotless and very hygienic, with modern furnishings and a kitchen stocked with an oven, microwave, toaster and all the other utensils. The smart TV was a nice touch. We’d booked one with a sauna and whirlpool, and those were the highlights. There were no oils for the sauna infusion, though. The park is about 30 minutes from Amsterdam, which worked well for day trips. In the morning, you can pick up rolls at reception through the bread service. Late check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our long weekend. Thanks!
