Walibi Village

We picked the cheapest four person house in the holiday village after deciding to visit Walibi. Reviews had already set our expectations low, and that was probably wise. It’s tucked into a peaceful forest, right by the amusement park, and each guest gets one park ticket included. At the end of June it was surprisingly quiet, with birds but no party animals. The mattresses and pillows were comfy, and the kitchen had the basics for making a quick meal. Cleanliness needed our own attention, so thank goodness we’d brought disinfectant. There was no soap or towels, just basic sheets and covers that weren’t very clean either. We asked for a little hotel-style soap and didn’t get any, so we had to go to the store for hygiene supplies. The bathroom had no toilet brush, and the fixed ceiling shower didn’t work very well. There were no mosquito screens on doors or windows, so we spent some of the evening chasing flies. It was a fun stay with a few surprises. As a budget option right next to Walibi, it’s solid if you arrive prepared with soap, towels, and maybe a fly swatter.

It’s a quiet, serene place with plenty of parking, friendly staff, and good value for families. Our accommodation was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. A few things were awkward: the wash basin and toilet were too high for short adults, there were no bathroom mats or hair dryer, and the switches by the bed didn’t turn the room lights on or off. Bring your own towels and toiletries. The customer service number’s automated messages are only in Dutch, so if you don’t speak it, you’ll need to guess which number to press or ask someone for help.

This was our second stay, and we’d definitely come back. The cottages are clean and quiet, with a kitchenette, and you can easily walk to Walibi Holland. The staff at the front desk are lovely. Sound carries visibly from the village next to reception.

Quiet and relaxing, with pines and trees everywhere. It’s a shame our bungalow was dusty and the floors were sticky, and we only got one roll of toilet paper for what we paid for three days and two nights.
