Appartementen Bad Boekelo

The scenery is beautiful, and the staff were really kind and friendly. I had a nice stay and would definitely like to come back. The rooms are decent, though I think I got a slightly unlucky one: none of the wall sockets seemed to work, and I couldn't get the temperature below 18 degrees. There's no minibar in the room, but you can buy drinks elsewhere in the hotel.

Quiet and comfortable, the apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. The amenities were good, including a heated pool and a laundromat. Highly recommended for a longer stay.

The toilet was dirty and so were the towels on my first visit. I noticed this at reception and left for a couple of hours. The room issue was sorted out, but the experience overall was still bad. The wellness area didn't feel like wellness at all. It was old and poorly maintained, with lots of stained, dirty walls. There was nowhere to relax except a few sunbeds by the small pool. There's also a spa, but the lady said it was run by another company and that I had to ask at reception. Everything costs extra. Breakfast was another letdown: very limited and poor. At €22.5, it was definitely bad value. I plan to update this review later to see if anything improves.

The hotel sits somewhat away from civilization, with beautiful countryside around it for walking or cycling. Staff at reception and in the restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was large, clean, and neat, the beds were good quality, and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed our stay! Breakfast at €22 per person seemed a bit expensive, so we went nearby instead. For around €10 each, we got coffee, a smoothie, and a sandwich.
