Hotel Edenpark

The staff were charming, and both the comfortable room and convenient location made for a really nice hotel stay. Breakfast was a plus too, very tasty! 😀

My room was on the outside terrace and was pretty comfortable. Breakfast was included, simple but very good. The hotel is a 3 minute drive from JFC Brunssum HQs. Front parking is very limited, but there’s plenty on the surrounding streets, plus free overnight parking across the street. It’s an excellent small hotel in Brunssum, Netherlands.

My family has stayed at this hotel for years when we visit the war memorial, and previous stays were fine. This time, our rooms still hadn’t been cleaned from the night before when we arrived. The owner eventually showed up, looked at my brother and me strangely, tried to make it our fault, and didn’t apologize. We’d specifically asked for ground floor rooms because my father is disabled, but we were put up a narrow staircase that was nearly impossible for him to climb. The next day he was moved to a ground floor room with a dangerous step. I heard the receptionist tell the owner about it, but he just said to put us in there. We had to move again the following day. The staff apologized, but the owner was rude, arrogant, and unapologetic. No discount was offered. We definitely won’t stay again, which is a shame, but the owner’s attitude has lost our family’s business.

I was given a studio about 200 metres from the main hotel, and nobody had told me I’d be staying so far away. I’m recovering from heart surgery, so it wasn’t a good option, especially when I arrived and was escorted there on foot. I told the receptionist I could have driven my car to the studio, since I now had to make two trips on foot. It was a very disappointing start to my stay, and I was very dissatisfied.
