The biggest draw is the location and the price. The hotel is right across from the train station, with trains to Amsterdam every 15 minutes. It takes about 25 minutes to get there, and a daily ticket is €12, which is very affordable, especially with Amsterdam prices being much higher than in other tourist destinations. The staff were friendly, and there’s a huge parking lot for guests. The rooms had the equipment people usually need, though the furniture is old and they weren’t particularly clean.

Raveen at reception was so friendly and informative, and really went out of his way to help me. The room was clean and comfortable too. I’d definitely recommend the place.

We had a decent stay, with a few things that need attention. The room was clean and simple, and the large TV had a wide choice of channels, though quite a few didn’t work. Our safe and the outlet beside the bed were both broken, and couldn’t be fixed while we were there. The bar area and pool table were nice to have, though we didn’t eat at the restaurant. Bussum Zuid station is right nearby, and the trains weren’t a noise problem.

Train station right outside the door, and a great location. Great reception too. Perfect 👌

This was my second visit to Bastion Bussum Zuid, and I spent 43 days there. The hotel was good and the staff were polite. Special thanks to Marty, Debbie and Stella for their support. I had a great visit.
