De Hammerhoeve

We came back to De Hammerhoeve for another family weekend after having such a lovely time there before. Breakfast is a real highlight: fresh, delicious, and unusual, with plenty to eat and sandwich bags provided if you want to make lunch to take along. There’s lots of room around the long dining table, and the kitchen has everything you need. Our group of women from several generations had four bedrooms with multiple beds, plus several showers and toilets. We also had games to hand and an outdoor sitting area, though November was too cold for us to use it. Cows, pigs, goats, open meadows, and woods surround the property. Thanks, Joice and family, for another cozy and relaxing weekend in Dalfsen.

The owner gave us such a warm welcome, and the setting is beautiful. Inside, the cottage is modern, spotless, and set up with everything you need: a comfortable living room, a big kitchen stocked for cooking proper meals, a bathroom, and two bedrooms. One has a roomy double bed; the other has three singles. I don't think I've ever stayed in a cleaner B&B. It's a lovely place to come back to for a longer visit.

The house was cozy, fully equipped, and had a spacious main bedroom with beds I slept really well in. When we arrived, the fridge was already filled with drinks, snacks, chips, and other treats. We booked a family weekend and got there earlier than planned on Friday, but hostess Joice welcomed us warmly and showed us around the lovely grounds. Coming from Rotterdam, we were struck by all the greenery and quiet, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. The kids fed the goats and pigs, bounced on the trampoline, and played tennis. Supermarkets are about 10 minutes away. We had a very pleasant stay, and it worked well for families. Joice, thanks for everything 🙏

We brought 11 women back to the Hammerhoeve for a second visit, and Joice made us feel at home again. The kitchen is well equipped, the view is lovely, and breakfast alone is reason enough to return. This weekend was bitterly cold, but we had brought slippers after texting ahead, wood kept coming for the stove, and there were blankets and portable heaters upstairs. The fireplace was already going, with treats, a fridge full of drinks, candles, and a cozy atmosphere waiting for us. They’d thought of the little things too, from sanitary towels in the toilets to earplugs in the bedrooms. Fresh towels, comfortable beds, and a cupboard full of games were all there. Dear Joice, thanks so much for taking such good care of us. A big 10!
