Bungalow in Texel Near Beach & Forest

The reception staff were friendly, and the facilities, restaurant, and playground are fine. Our bungalow, though, seemed neglected and needed better maintenance. It smelled a little musty, the bedroom was damp enough that the metal bedpost had started to rust, and there was mold in the bathroom and one bedroom. At night we could hear noticeable noises from the ceiling, possibly mice or something similar. Some of the bungalows and houses are also inconveniently placed, since children have to cross the street twice to reach the playground.

We felt incredibly comfortable in this beautiful, very clean house, which is tucked away somewhere quiet. I especially loved the fully fenced garden. We’ll definitely return!

There’s lots of space around the cottage, and the cottages themselves are roomy too. The park has fewer amenities than a Landal park, but that actually got us out exploring the island, so it suited us just fine.

We’d happily return. The villa was large, beautiful, modern, and well equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the sauna. A couple of small things, such as too few clothes hooks and no ironing board, were easy to overlook. Truly a perfect stay.
