The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of variety, and the hotel makes a handy base for a short island getaway. I wouldn't choose it for a longer trip, though. Our room was dated, needed renovation, and hadn't been cleaned well. Communication while booking could have been better, too. The hotel parking was inaccessible because of ongoing roadworks, and guests should have been told about that in advance.

The room was noisy, and the shower door was broken. The heating was rusty, and the TV was just a PC monitor with no functions, still hooked up with a coaxial cable. It really feels like the rooms haven't been renovated since last century. Breakfast's “orange juice” was basically water with a faint flavor. And the celebratory meal was a disgrace. The starter was a tiny piece of bread, about 2 by 6 cm, with a sliver of salmon, one little lettuce leaf, and five bits of fennel, worth maybe 50 cents. For the main, we got three sticks holding rolls around 10-15 cm long, plus tiny portions of fries and atjar. I complained at reception, but they brushed me off with “this is how we always do it.” Very unfriendly service. Does this hotel even have a chef? I'll share this on Google too. The restaurant was a highlight, with a great breakfast selection and a top-notch dinner. I especially loved the super tender duck breast. The staff member at check-in also helped me find a doctor in such a kind, warm way. Our room was spacious enough to move around the furniture easily, and the mattresses were excellent, with extra pillows too. My husband had a very good walk-in shower. The hotel is close to both the beach and the bus stop. Highly recommended!

We’ll definitely stay here again. The location is scenic and convenient, the rooms are large, and the friendly staff were incredibly helpful. The hotel has a charming vintage feel, even if it’s not especially modern. I’d put the value at 4.5 out of 5. Food was generally very good. The soups were outstanding, the steak was excellent, and the desserts were delicious. The burgers could be better: the meat lacked flavor, the portion felt a little small, and ketchup alone overpowered it. A house sauce would help. There’s no air conditioning, which is especially noticeable in the hot attic rooms in summer. Parking was hard to find. Coming from the seaside, there’s no visible sign for the entrance. From the city side, the sign is across the road and often blocked by pedestrians. Clearer, more visible directions would help. There were also too few EV charging stations.

The hotel’s central location was the only thing earning a star from me. We had one of the worst nights of sleep I can remember. The mattress was so soft that we sank into it without support, which was especially uncomfortable for stomach sleepers or anyone needing basic back support. Our room was upstairs under the roof and got unbearably hot. There’s no air conditioning, and the synthetic bedding made it worse. We couldn’t open the window because the nightlife noise was so loud. Although the bars were meant to close at 2:00 AM, music and street noise carried on past 4:30 AM. We could clearly hear people talking, shouting, and music through the closed windows because the sound insulation was poor. There was no staff in the hotel between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM, so there was nobody to help if something went wrong. If you care about getting rest or basic comfort, I’d look elsewhere.
