I’ve stayed here eight times for an annual conference, and I’ve been delighted on every visit. It feels clean and cosy, more like staying at a friend’s house than in a sterile business hotel. The staff have always been helpful, and someone is always at the desk. The rooms vary: the smaller ones feel cramped for two, but the larger ones are majestic, especially with the dunes in view. It’s well placed for walks to the beach and local restaurants, and it’s dog-friendly. I’ll be back next summer with my three dogs. I’ve eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Breakfast has a huge range: eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausages, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, breads, cold meats, and salads. I travel a lot for business and find it much better than most hotel breakfasts. The roasted celeriac and beetroot salad, with beetroot ketchup, was so good it wouldn’t be out of place in a Michelin-starred restaurant. I’m shocked by some of the other reviews. Superb food and service.

The room was huge and had a wonderful view of the dunes. My mother and I loved staying there, and our dog was happy with the room too. The beach and forest are both nearby. Breakfast amazed us with its range and quality, easily the best we’ve had at any hotel in Europe. I’d definitely recommend it.

Great location, but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself. The rooms were dirty, and the furniture was old and broken. For the price, this felt like an overpriced two-star hotel.

The location is lovely, though the rooms are very small. Our stay was spoiled by Sven, the dining room waiter, who was so rude and unpleasant that we left and ate somewhere else. He seems to have anger management problems and is in the wrong job.

The pool was a blast, with lots of water toys that adults can mess around with, and the bed was really comfortable. We only booked a night because the hotel was close to the water, shops, and bike rental, but it became the highlight of our trip. The rooms were cosy, and I still dream about breakfast: breads, meats, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt made with a local berry, fresh orange juice, a coffee bar, champagne, and plenty more. I’m celiac and felt comfortable with the options. Everyone spoke perfect English, which made up for our questionable Dutch.
