Hotel Ernst Sillem Hoeve

The forest trails nearby make it easy to go walking or cycling, and the grounds are beautiful. Staff were lovely, the food was fantastic, and it was a great spot for a relaxing weekend away.

The pool was a little old and tired beside the other hotel areas I saw, though it was still nice to have it. The hotel sits in a pretty wooded spot for biking and walks, and the rooms were clean with excellent beds. Breakfast in the stylish restaurant was good, and the staff were very helpful. Charging an electric car worked well with an RFID card, my Shell one did.

The pool area only had two chairs, which would make a third person or anyone beyond that feel unwelcome. I also found spiderwebs in the dirty IR sauna. The hotel was generally clean, with plenty of parking. Staff were very friendly, and the restaurant service was friendly too. The food was good.

A good place to escape the everyday rush, surrounded by forests. The staff were really helpful, and renting bikes was a nice way to get out and enjoy nature. Rooms were clean, though the extra brown pillow was really dusty. The pool was nice but could be a tiny bit longer, and the sauna definitely needed to be warmer. Dinner was a mixed bag. Some courses were exceptionally tasty, others were well done but more average, and the waits between courses were a bit longer than we'd have liked. When I asked for the carrot soup recipe, they shared it with me, so all was forgiven. The price seemed very reasonable, and the experience was positive. I'd come back to explore more of the outdoor options.
