Van der Valk Hotel Deventer

The breakfast was incredible, one of the best we’ve had, and the rooms are beautiful. It’s a stunning hotel, though a little out of the way. We’d happily stay again and would highly recommend it.

Deventer was new to me, and I couldn’t have picked a better hotel for my first visit. Our room was huge, had a beautiful view, and was super clean. Breakfast had lots of great options and was delicious. Big thanks to the manager Roos, she kept an eye on everything to make sure we had a perfect stay.

The room and bathroom design were surreal, and everything was spotless and well organized. I felt so good there. The saunas were a surprise, with all the different lights and heat levels, and the swimming pool was so relaxing. The iron used for the pool floor was genius! I only stayed one night, but it was enough to see how magnificent the hotel is. The cocktail was prepared so well I felt like I was in the clouds. There were so many good things that I could write a book, so I’ll stop here. If you’re thinking of going, just go. I loved it and will come back someday.

We stopped here for the Tesla supercharger and it happened to be breakfast time. We didn’t want to pay for the full hotel breakfast, but the staff were happy to let us get the usual coffee and pastries at the normal price. It’s a modern, nice hotel.
