Villa Wanrooy

I’d booked and paid, but couldn’t get in. I stood there watching people walk up the stairs and ignore me. Now I’m out on the street trying to find somewhere to sleep. What fun. Don’t stay here. The place and the people are useless.

The room was spacious and clean, but I didn’t like that the toilet had no door. You end up sharing your business with your roommate.

There’s plenty nearby, including a 24/7 gym, Lidl, some great restaurants, and the central station isn’t too far away. The little rooms and apartments are lovely, and the staff are always super kind. Great place to stay. I’ll definitely be back. Lovely regards from eastern Germany ;-)

Villa Wanrooy has its own garden where you can eat and have drinks outside. You order and pick up from a counter set up like a food truck. The hotel is right in the town center, on a street packed with restaurants, cafés, and bars. Depending on your room, you might hear some nightlife noise when the businesses close and people head home. We stayed two nights, and it felt like more than just a boutique hotel. The room designs and the food, built around Van Mien local produce that you can also buy in their small delicatessen shop, all fit together. The hospitality is casual and very friendly, attentive and courteous. It really made me feel like a valued and respected guest. WOW.
