B&B Diepzicht

The owners are incredibly friendly, and breakfast is outstanding. We’ve rarely had such a complete B&B breakfast, and we’re already looking forward to tomorrow morning. The room is beautiful and has every comfort, including a fridge with drinks, coffee and tea, and a microwave. Right in the heart of Dokkum, with great restaurants and cafes nearby. Free parking is available at De Helling, though it may take some searching when it’s busy. For a really good beer, try the Bonifatius tasting room across the street.

It’s clear this place comes from the heart, and the hosts are incredibly relaxed and helpful. The apartment is equipped down to the smallest detail, breakfast is unbelievably good, and there are thoughtful touches every day. Quality like this is as rare as hen’s teeth. Five stars don’t come close.

Ymkje and Durk looked after us impeccably, and we felt very much at home. The B&B sits on Dokkum’s central canal in a beautiful, typical terraced house, with a lovely view over the town center. Our room was lovingly furnished and had everything we needed. Towels were changed daily, the refrigerator was restocked, and the large comfortable bed had lovely linens. Breakfast arrived at the requested time in a serving cart at our door, with a generous selection. Egg dishes and pancakes came warm in cast-iron pans, and there was always plenty of variety. There’s also a garage for bicycles. Thank you!

The breakfast was phenomenal. I’ve never stayed in such a beautiful setting with such a wonderful B&B.
