The house felt practically brand new and was peaceful and very pretty. It had three bedrooms and a huge kitchen and living room, with big windows that brought in loads of natural light and gave us a lovely view of the surroundings. The kitchen had an induction stove, an oven and microwave combo, a decent-sized fridge, bigger than you'd ever need, and a dishwasher. There was also a really big, luxurious rain shower. The owners were very kind. If you're going to Friesland, I recommend staying here.

We hired an electric boat on the premises to cruise around Dokkum. Ellen, one of the staff, was lovely and explained how it all worked, as well as telling us the best places to go. We met her again later at the restaurant, where she served us fresh mint tea and a delicious lunch. A beautiful place with lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it!

There’s a restaurant with a terrace by the water, showers and toilets, and spots for tents and caravans at this small, nice campsite. It’s a great place to fish, and you can rent a small boat or canoe too. The staff were friendly. Dokkum is about a 20-minute walk away.
