EuroParcs Resort de Biesbosch

The one thing I can say in the hotel's favor is that it looks nice from the outside. We booked a three-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin for four people, but were first given an option with only one bathroom and had to sort that out ourselves. They also provided bed linen for just three, even though the cabin was booked for four. The listing says you can call for help with linen, but we stayed four days without getting any assistance. The cabin was extremely dusty, enough to make even people without a dust allergy react. There were also insects, including bed bugs, despite us not opening the windows, which points to poor hygiene. Both toilets were clogged, and nobody came to help. Although the resort is gated and guests have passes, you can’t drive out between 8 and 23. Even Hotels.com, where we booked, couldn’t reach the resort manager. Please stay away from this miserable place.

I’ve stayed at three Europarcs in the Netherlands, and this cabin is among the best for quality. Cabin 4, which I booked directly with Europarcs, was clean, modern, air conditioned and well equipped. The staff were very friendly, and the location is nice. Some reviews make the road noise sound worse than it is. The reviews on Google are confusing, and some seem as if they’re about a completely different place.

Mice were climbing over our things every night, and the food they didn’t get into had to go in the fridge. We reported it, and staff sent someone to deal with the problem, but nothing changed. Management acknowledged there were mice, yet didn’t remove them or move us to another house. They did refund about 15% of our completely ruined trip, which they apparently thought was generous. The location is pleasant, and I hope they sort this out, but management was terrible and incredibly unhelpful. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Not my kind of place, so I’d never stay there, but the sunsets are great.
