Boutique Hotel de Drentse Liefde

We only had one night here during a two-month trip, and I really wish we could've stayed longer. My friend and I were unicycling across the Netherlands with all our gear, and this little hidden gem became our favorite, most memorable stay in Europe and the UK. It was comfortable and clean, but also an experience all by itself. Our room was the Ram room, with a funky ram lamp, a mural covering a whole wall, plus a vintage record player and records. We listened to them while having the complimentary drinks from the mini fridge. There were so many fun details to notice, from the ostrich head decor and mouse door painting to the bathroom's 50 different kinds of toilet paper. Every detail felt unique. Our host was super nice. She gave us free drinks and candy, and let us leave our unicycles and gear in the garage overnight. Just around the corner there's also an amazing artisan bread and cheese place that we loved. Thank you so much!

The hosts were so thoughtful and friendly, and breakfast was wonderful. We had a nice room in a wonderful town, with plenty of restaurants and a grocery store an easy walk away.

Breakfast was sublime, and we felt thoroughly pampered. The rooms are fantastic, with so much care given to the little details that make a stay feel perfect. One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we've had the pleasure of staying in. We'll definitely be back.

The owners are two lovely people who make you feel right at home. If you're after somewhere cosy and beautiful, this is the place. Amazing!
