We’ve been here a few times now. Last night was great, with really good food!

The room has a nice view and is well located, but the carpet felt unhygienic. There wasn't an outlet on one side of the bed, and the TV had no international channels. The toilet paper holder seemed more suited to a boarding school. The restaurant has a good location, though there are few shady spots. Staff were friendly but the service was basic, and the staff felt untrained and cold. Vegetarian food was poor. They didn't respond to complaints about overcooked cauliflower or a lentil pie with no lentils. The dessert they brought was the wrong one and wasn't replaced. The food seemed more about presentation and cream than freshness or taste, so it wasn't worth the visit.

The outdoor seating is great. The tomato soup wasn't good, and portions were small. The beef steak tasted good, but was a very small serving. A bit overpriced.

We came because we'd seen people mention good vegan options, but the vegan dish arrived with egg on it. I'm allergic, so I asked for a replacement and got a lot of attitude. I even showed my EpiPen to explain how serious it was. They just removed the egg and brought the same plate back. After I asked two more people, a supposed new dish arrived five minutes later. It was cold and had mayonnaise made with eggs, so I didn't feel safe eating any of it. My partner's burger was disappointing too, with cold chips and a soggy burger. When I raised it while paying, they still expected full price for a meal I couldn't eat because it contained something I'm seriously allergic to. It felt like nobody cared about the food, the guest experience, or our health and safety. Avoid this place, especially if you have food restrictions.

The neighborhood is lovely, and the place itself is amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner was very good. The service was surprisingly quick. Our room was spacious with good beds, and we had a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread, at least when breakfast is at 7 am. I can't say about other times. Parking was free right by the door. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you like being served.
