We had a great stay and would happily come back. The hosts were so warm and friendly, and I really enjoyed being able to chat with them while traveling. The house had plenty of space, with a comfortable living and dining area, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. Our room and bathroom were comfortable, clean, and a good temperature, and the bed was cozy too. Parking right outside was free and very convenient. We'd recommend it.
We were made to feel very welcome. The place is roomy, thoughtfully arranged, and nicely decorated. It’s an easy walk into the town center, and several lovely coastal villages are nearby. Parking was simple too.
Right by the water and close to the center of Edam, the location was lovely. Inside, everything felt cozy, with lots of thoughtful details and a layout that worked really well. Thank you!
We felt at home in the rustic, cozy apartment, and would gladly stay again. “De Walvisch” is tucked near Edam’s historic center, so it’s peaceful while still being central. Diana was a lovely host, and her helpful tips made our visit even better. Many thanks for the warm welcome!
Diana and Paul were attentive and very pleasant, and their English is excellent. The house was beautifully kept, comfortable, and warm even when it was cold or windy outside. We also slept well in the quiet surroundings. We spent a weekend here and would definitely return. A great place to relax after exploring the area, and in our view the best option in Edam.
