Apartment De Stranding

We did some shopping and then enjoyed the cottage and the area around it. It's neat and clean, with a good shower and everything you need. The cottage is tucked into a rural, wooded setting where you can really get away. Not every review is positive, but the low bedroom ceiling and having horses nearby actually added to that outdoorsy feel.

The garden was nice, but we were very unhappy with the apartment. It really isn't suitable for anyone with back problems: the mattresses were far too soft, and the sofa and armchairs were worn out. There was dirt under the mattresses, and the toilet looked as if it had been used before. The kitchen had only the bare basics, so we had to buy our own cutlery and coffee mugs. Getting in touch with the landlord was difficult, and they weren't especially friendly. The internet kept dropping out.

The farm was clean and not far from the sea, with horses, chickens, and even a sauna in the well-furnished apartment. It was all easy and hassle-free. Towels and bed linen were provided, and the small kitchen was well equipped. There was air conditioning, but we couldn't find its remote. We also couldn't find any German TV channels. The folder only had the Wi-Fi code, with no other information, and there was no guestbook. Still, we'll come back.

A friendly welcome and an easy check-in. It's a lovely base for excursions, and cozy and roomy enough for two. There's a little terrace right beside a paddock with horses, and chickens sometimes wander around. Very idyllic.
