Herberg Binnen

We rented bikes through the hotel for €38 each for electric bikes and €13 for city bikes. They arrived the next morning, and we spent the day exploring Bergen, Egmond and the beach. It was easy and reasonably priced. The dinners were delicious too: we tried seabass, kipsate, ravioli, a burger and stoofpotje. Compliments to the chef. Breakfast was generous, with a tray of yoghurt, muesli, fruit, jam, chocolate sprinkles and more, plus a basket of croissants, rolls and fresh bread. Eggs were cooked to order, and coffee choices included regular and decaf, cappuccino and latte macchiato, with refills. It cost €19.50 per person and kept us going well past lunch. There wasn't a buffet, but we were very happy with what was brought to the table. We stayed over an extended weekend and found the hospitality warm and thoughtful. Our room was spotless, even mopped, and when we asked for decaf capsules they happily gave us extra. There was a fridge, coffee machine, teabags, TV and WiFi. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Herberg Binnen made for a relaxing stay in a lovely setting, and the breakfast and bike arrangements were especially good.

The village was peaceful, and the hotel was close to the sea. We spent two nights here with our two dogs, who were warmly welcomed. Our room was cozy, nicely renovated and spotless, and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We'd happily recommend staying here.

The real standout here was how personally and thoughtfully the hosts looked after us. I've often found that service and care can fall off in coastal places, but that wasn't the case here. The rooms were lovely and cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much that this is now our first choice in this part of the Netherlands. Thank you for having us.

The little back garden attached to each room is a nice spot to sit with a coffee. Breakfast is served at your table rather than as a buffet, with bread, croissants, spreads, coffee or tea, and eggs you can choose from a menu. It was a pleasant, cozy meal, and I'd pay for it if it isn't included with your room. The rustic, comfortable rooms make Herber Binnen feel like staying in a friend's spare room. You feel at home here. I recommend hotel Herberg Binnen wholeheartedly.
