Hoogland aan Zee

We booked at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings and how close the sea was. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and everything we needed had been provided. The host was welcoming and friendly. The stairs are the usual Dutch kind, narrow and steep, but manageable. We'd gladly return to Hoogland aan Zee and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We feel right at home here with our little dog, yay! The owner is so friendly and always willing to help. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped, with a super adjustable Auping bed and a lovely big terrace. We had a private bathroom during COVID times. It's only 6 meters from the Jumbo supermarket, but still nice and quiet and close to everything. There's Netflix, Prime Video, warm heating for winter, and a large fridge with a freezer compartment. A great base, with private parking and breakfast available too. 10+!

The owner is really friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. It's a small room with a double bed, sink, little table, and a few cabinets. The shower and toilet are downstairs, with a separate set for each room, and there's also a shared kitchen with a fridge. We only needed somewhere to sleep, so it was a fantastic place for us.

The landlord was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the bathroom was modern, clean, and spacious. This cozy little place is centrally located in Egmont aan Zee, with restaurants, cafes, and ice cream parlors nearby. Shops and a bakery are only a two-minute walk away, and the beach is no more than a ten-minute stroll. Breakfast is served downstairs, though there's no full kitchen with a stove, just a coffee maker, kettle, and egg cooker. The main drawback is the very narrow, steep staircase to the upstairs room, which could be difficult for older guests or anyone with heavy luggage.
