Campanile Hotel Eindhoven

A good value, no-fuss place for a stopover. It’s about a 10-minute drive to the center or airport, and there’s free parking. The rooms were clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly. It does feel a little dated and basic.

I was here for three nights on a business trip, booked through Agoda, and would happily stay again on my next visit to Eindhoven. The room was quiet and clean, which made it easy to rest after meetings. I could also work at the desk by the window and enjoy the peaceful view. The area was calm, with no noise to distract me. Having a hot water kettle in the room was handy for tea or instant coffee in the morning, and there’s a McDonald’s nearby for a quick meal when you don’t want to go far. It’s a simple, comfortable hotel that worked well for my trip.

The room is the main problem here. It felt old and uncomfortable, even though it was fairly clean. The pillows are much too soft, there’s no toilet brush, and the privacy curtain doesn’t really give you privacy, so you may as well keep the shutters shut. I could hear everything around the room, from every direction, and didn’t sleep properly. People smoked outside their rooms, and the hotel puts ashtrays along the shared walkway, so smoke easily drifts indoors. The shower is poorly designed and water runs onto the floor, the doors squeak, and there were lots of spider webs near the windows. Watch out for the very narrow stair steps if you have a suitcase. The hotel sits between two roads and is noisy, though you can get there easily from the airport by bus. There’s a McDonald’s nearby, and not much else if you don’t eat at the hotel. The staff are nice. For the value, I’d give it 2/5, and I probably wouldn’t return.

The ground-floor rooms are motel-style, simple, clean, and comfortable. There’s a nice bar beside the restaurant, a good spot for a quiet drink and a bite.
