They even had a little crocheted toy for my infant daughter, which was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked really well. Everyone on staff was friendly and wonderful. I also left something behind, and they contacted me right away and easily arranged to ship it back. I loved our stay and would definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

The food in the restaurant was fantastic, which makes the rest of this stay even more of a shame. I was touring Arnhem on my BMW motorcycle and booked two nights here because the weather was so foul. After parking, I checked in and bought a beer at the bar while waiting for my room. From then on, the manager’s attitude made me uncomfortable throughout the stay. She was probably the restaurant manager. I felt she looked at me like dirt on her shoe because I was wearing my motorcycle gear, and she came across as openly unfriendly and unprofessional. I spent over 500 euros at the hotel in two days, so being treated that way was a hard pill to swallow.

Room 220 should be avoided. There was no air conditioning, the beds were split singles, the sheets and covers were awful, and the shower was pitiful, right beside the main road. Breakfast was appalling too. I stayed one night and woke up bitten all over my body, including my arms, legs, and hands. I don’t know if they were bed bugs or something else. I sent photos and asked whether I might have had the bites before or picked them up somewhere else. The hotel said they found nothing, so there was no further action. If the same happens to you, highlight it. I stay in hotels all over the world, and this was my worst experience for quality, value for money, reception, and the response to a complaint.

The location is a little removed from the main attractions, but it gives the hotel a peaceful feel. It’s a good choice if you want a quiet stay while keeping convenient access to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam city center. Rooms are comfortable, and there’s free Wi-Fi and parking. The on-site restaurant and elegant lounge are nice places to relax, and the atmosphere is warm.
