The food at the restaurant was great, and the staff gave lovely service, especially Martin, Juan and Eduard at the night reception. My room was spacious, with a clean, renovated bathroom and all the facilities, though I did miss having a minifridge. The gym's weight machines are old and really need replacing, but it's fine for a quick run or some free-weight exercises.

We had a junior suite with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Breakfast was sooo good! The location is great too, close to the train station and shopping area while still being quiet. Strongly recommended if you stay here.

Around 3 AM during a winter bus transfer, I stopped by in freezing weather because there was no indoor station where I could wait. I asked if I could sit in the lobby briefly to warm up, but the receptionist refused because I wasn't a guest. I understand hotels have policies, but in that extreme cold, a little flexibility or even a suggestion for somewhere warm nearby would've made a big difference. It felt unwelcoming at a difficult moment.

The room was warm and clean, which was about the only good thing. The mattress and pillows were terribly uncomfortable, and my back and neck hurt after just one night. I'm healthy, not elderly. The corridors smelled so strongly of cheap cleaning products that my eyes watered. Our key card only opened the door after several tries. Reception said it was our fault because we'd put the card near a phone and supposedly demagnetized it. I travel a lot and have never heard that explanation before.

It was quiet at night, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a great breakfast buffet, and the hotel is close to Central Station and the shops on Demer Street. HSQ = 6
