The hotel is basic but tidy, and the location is hard to beat, only 50 metres from the central station. You can reach reception by a partly hidden lift or by taking the long, wide stairs. Finding your way in and out has a bit of an escape-room feel, but you'll get there. The staff are friendly. Booking through bookingdotcom made the invoice situation confusing. Sometimes the hotel issued it, other times it came from another company behind bookingdotcom. You can see how all those middlemen make things complicated.

The hotel is in a good location and the breakfast was good, but the parking garage was a real hassle. Four other drivers and we couldn't get in to the overpriced garage until we'd rung the intercom several times and called the hotel; then a staff member came out to help. Our room was spacious but extremely worn and poorly cleaned. The nightstands were dusty, the walls scuffed, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. There were still traces of the previous guest in the toilet. Staff handled our complaint professionally, but offered no compensation. I wouldn't book here again.

Right between the train station and city centre, with both the bus and train stations about a two-minute walk away. The hotel is surrounded by places to eat and get a treat, including ice cream at Vanderpool, pizza and pasta at Happy Italy, and Indian curry at Spice King India.

The rooms were cold, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Even the breakfast room was only 18 degrees. The mattress was good, though. The parking garage is tiny and really hard to find!

We cycled over from Australia on a trip across Europe and spent two nights here. It was a great stay: the hotel is new, clean, quiet and comfortable, with lovely beds and pillows. The central location was perfect, and the staff were kind, polite and very professional. We could safely store our bicycles inside, too. I'd highly recommend it.
