The wild menu won us over after the first evening, so we skipped our plan to eat out and came back for it the next day. The chef put together such a harmonious meal, with beautiful dishes, just-right portions of wild boar, deer, rabbit and pheasant, and wines that paired perfectly. I love game, and it was a real treat. Breakfast was generous too, with lots of choices for different tastes. We stayed three nights and loved how much care showed in the hotel's design and all the little details. The owner and staff seem closely connected to nature, while still keeping comfort, style and cleanliness in place. Our Deluxe room was roomy and cozy. The woods are only a five-minute walk away, with easy hiking nearby. Veluwse Bron, a large sauna and wellness resort in Emst, is about a ten-minute drive. Everyone was friendly, polite and helpful. A special thanks to the waiters, who kept serving tirelessly and kindly. We were looked after promptly and respectfully. It's a great-value break from city life if you enjoy nature, good food and comfort. We could really relax and enjoy the quiet. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so nice. We'll be back!

It's not a central location, which is exactly the point of the hotel. The room was cozy, the surrounding nature was lovely, and the included breakfast was satisfying. Staff were really friendly, spoke English, and helped me with everything I needed. The atmosphere felt welcoming and I enjoyed my stay a lot. A couple of small things could be better: water leaked from the shower onto the floor, and the doors let quite a bit of sound pass between the room and hallway. Still, I was very happy here and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely garden, great breakfast and comfy beds. There are games for kids, and the staff are kind. A wonderful stay in the middle of the forest.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a lavish buffet of different breads, coffee, tea, eggs and various meats, plus gluten-free choices. The gardens are lovely and have comfortable places to sit. Staff were thoughtful and happy to answer our questions. We had a peaceful, elegant three-night stay at the Witte Berken, and our room was kept clean throughout. We'd definitely stay there again next time we're in the Netherlands.

The photos don't quite show how nice it is. Getting there involves a bit of an adventurous road, but it feels like a lovely oasis once you're there. We paired our stay with a sauna visit, which I'd highly recommend. The restaurant's varied wild-meat menu was a pleasant surprise and presented really well. And the breakfast, wow. I've eaten plenty of bread in my 36 years, but this may be the best I've had. As someone who loves breakfast, I thought it was top notch. A great experience, and I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.
