The house is packed with dishes and kitchen gear, and both properties have an oven and dishwasher. They even provide basics like a kitchen towel, soap dispenser, dish brush, and paper towels. At Christmas, both homes are decorated for the season, with a decorated tree in each. This New Year's Eve marked our fifth year spending a week here with two families. Oud Bommerich is such a beautiful half-timbered house, with lovely views from both properties and a connecting door that works perfectly for two families. The owners are extremely friendly and have made lots of improvements over the years, so we always came back wondering what had changed. Replacing all the beds made the biggest difference to comfort. They suit the house, have good mattresses, and don’t squeak. The floors still creak, which is part of the charm in such an old house. This year they improved the insulation further and added another insulated door, so the properties can be rented separately without the risk of noise carrying between them. Plumbing work is planned for the coming period. Highly recommended if you love a charming house in a beautiful setting.

Friendly owners, several hiking trails, and fantastic views across the Geul Valley and Epen. It’s a cozy, entire 18th-century half-timbered house for 8 people, or 12 when combined with the lower apartment. Pets are welcome.

The views are stunning, and the whole place is very affordable with everything provided. My friends and I recently rented both cottages. With all the thresholds and steep stairs, it’s less suitable for people with limited mobility, though that’s just how it is in a historic building.

We had a lovely stay, with beautiful surroundings and a really friendly welcome. Dogs are welcome too, and everything you need is in the house.

Plenty of hiking right from this fantastic South Limburg holiday spot. And of course, a stop at the Wingbergerhoeve for delicious ice cream, "Good morning."
