NH Geldrop

The breakfast was just okay, nothing fancy. The rooms also feel dated, like a blast from the past. For the price and the NH hotels brand, I expected something more up to date, not rooms where the age shows so clearly. I don't understand all the good reviews, maybe those people don't stay in hotels often. The pictures speak for themselves.

Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh fruit and juices, freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs and toast. Our room was spacious, with a large double-layered window, and even the standard room had two double beds. The hotel might be a little farther from heavy traffic, otherwise the rooms and service wouldn't be this price.

We keep using this hotel as a regular stop on the long trip from South Wales to Germany via the Tunnel. It's easy to find near the motorway, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is pleasant and serves decent food, with an excellent house red. There's also a small swimming pool and sauna. The price is very reasonable.

I had a nice stay here. It's clean and quiet, with a pleasant park, and the breakfast is great. The village location is convenient, close to Eindhoven and very near the highway. The gym is very small, though; a bit more equipment or extra space would help.
