We came in for a meal and were impressed by both the food and the service. They made room for our dog outside and even brought her water and a few treats. The road nearby was noisy, though. We also had a look through a window at one of the rooms, and it looked really nice.

I booked after seeing the positive reviews on Booking dot com, but my stay left me deeply disappointed and baffled that anyone could find much to praise here. I can't recommend the hotel based on what happened to me. Getting to the check-in desk meant walking through a bar full of loud, drunk people. It felt intimidating and unwelcoming. At reception, the staff member was absorbed in their phone and barely acknowledged me. When I finally got their attention, they seemed irritated, were rude, and brushed off my reasonable questions and concerns without helping. That experience matched the general lack of care I felt throughout my stay. The contrast with the online reviews was stark. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the service. I wouldn't want other guests to have the same experience. I also wrote a detailed account on Booking dot com, but they edited it heavily and left only one positive point, which doesn't reflect my stay. I'm now left with no choice but to report this to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). I feel this censorship is deceptive and undermines customers' trust in Booking dot com.

The room faced the street, and I spent a whole night unable to rest because police cars and ambulances kept passing. I understood there was a hospital nearby, so I politely asked to move rooms. They told me everything was fully booked, but when I asked them to check online, I felt that wasn't true. I then asked for refunds for both nights and was told to contact Booking. The service was poor, and the room wasn't cleaned properly either. I found bugs and had to clean hair out of the bathroom myself. I felt desperate and depressed for the rest of the day. I told them I'd contact the customer service authorities and pursue the matter if nothing was sorted out, but they laughed in my face. Their treatment left me in serious emotional and mental distress, and I've already contacted a lawyer. I was polite and respectful and tried to stay positive, but they started acting like fools. The couple in the room next to me, who had a child, were treated the same way. Their child couldn't sleep and cried all night.
