Villa Polder – Boutique Hotel near Eindhoven

Tim was meticulous about every detail, and nothing felt like too much trouble. He's one of the most experienced hosts we've stayed with. He used to manage a five-star hotel in Myanmar, until the military coup, and you can tell that background has stayed with him. He's also a great Dutch ambassador. We're already thinking about another trip back there, and I'm a Lewis Hamilton fan 😉.

The food was outstanding. The kitchen brings Dutch and Thai influences together, and the chef knows how to surprise guests with her skill and passion. We had lunch and dinner here, and I'd recommend both. The nine of us stayed at the villa for a two-day training. The host was really flexible and made us feel like proper guests. Our rooms were characteristic, large, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was a good, balanced Dutch spread, not too much. The staff were friendly and helpful, worked hard, and looked after us well. I thought the price was fair for the luxury and quality. I'd visit the villa again.

We had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and each was fine quality. The place itself is breathtaking, renovated in a quirky way with real attention to detail and respect for modern art. The accommodation on the grounds was superb. I really wished we could have stayed longer.

The cook makes delicious classic and Asian dishes. The location is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
