De Dames Van De Jonge Hotel Restaurant

After more than a month travelling alone around Europe, this was the best hotel I stayed at. It was spotlessly clean and cozy, with lots of charming touches. It felt like a warm home, and it’s hard to believe the place has been through three generations. The food was delicious, and both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented. What really stayed with me was how welcoming the hostess and staff were. One Asian staff member was especially thoughtful, regularly checking in to make sure everyone was happy. They also speak Chinese 👍🏻 A memorable 10/10 stay, whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with family. I’d love to come back someday.

The food was the highlight for us. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and delicious. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and looked after, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing, just right for a comfortable getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

The meal was worth the trip from our campsite near Giethoorn. We biked over for dinner and really loved all three courses. The food was carefully prepared and beautifully served, with most ingredients sourced from their garden. It was freshly made, not just a home-style meal. The dining area was nice, the service friendly, and they handled allergies well. You do need to book at least 24 hours ahead, and dinner is at 6 pm. We thought it was well worth it.

The staff made this stay special. Gabrielle, the owner, went out of her way to get our room ready early so my husband and I could rest after flying in from the US. Everyone shared lots of useful area recommendations. We slept in the next morning, but they woke us to check whether we still wanted breakfast, then had it ready and waiting, with made-to-order eggs and fresh-squeezed OJ available on request. Elise was especially attentive and went above and beyond. The room was beautiful and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, working A/C, and plenty of hot water for the big soaking bathtub. Breakfast was great too. By far the best hotel in the Netherlands for us, and we loved our stay!
