The beds were good, the rooms were clean, tidy and spacious, and the atmosphere was nice. Service was friendly and great. I’d recommend staying here, it was a lovely experience.

The owner wasn’t very likeable. After a cycling trip, he couldn’t even offer a spontaneous hello. The shed where you’re expected to store the bikes is a real junk shed and not presentable. Breakfast was just okay. My upstairs room beside the stairs was ordinary: there’s no wardrobe, just a rack with a few hangers, and the shower sprays water over the tray if you’re not careful. All of it felt pretty average, so I don’t understand the high scores from other guests.

The shower wasn’t working properly, and there was an inappropriate remark when I entered the living room. If that area isn’t for guests, mark it off clearly. And if you call the place a B&B, respond with “Bed & Breakfast” when asked, not just “B&B.” A B&B should usually have a sitting area and a cupboard with reading material or information. Otherwise, don’t run one.

A very friendly welcome, and the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. A great starting point for cycling tours!
