The view over the water is great, and I really enjoyed sitting on the deck at night. The studio is right on the water, the room is a good size, and it has some nice amenities. Breakfast was good, and they checked that we had what we wanted to eat and drink. My only complaint is about communication. I asked ahead of time when breakfast would be and was told we’d discuss it when I arrived, but then I found out there was a set time. They also collect the city tax in cash, and I wish they’d told me that beforehand.

We planned to stay there last year, but soon after arriving, we found the accommodation unclean and neglected. There was dirt and dust throughout: on the bathroom counter, on the shelf with the dishes, and on the walls, which also had stains. The refrigerator was dirty, the shower had mold, and the microwave was dirty around the edges with dishes left inside by the previous guests. Some dishes still had food scraps on them. It looked as if the room had only been given a quick, surface clean. We told the landlady directly about these issues, but she showed no understanding or concern and insisted the apartment was clean. We cut our stay short.

The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a fantastic B&B in a new development in Gouda, right on the water. The room feels more like a small apartment, and guests can use the kitchen.

The view is priceless, and the rooms are super clean and cozy, with a great bathroom. The owners live right above and bring a wonderful breakfast basket each morning. Absolutely top-notch! 👍
