The digital key gave us a lot of trouble when opening the doors. They gave us key cards instead, and that fixed the lock problems. There isn't staff on site, but another hotel with staff is less than a five-minute walk away if you need help.

We had a very small room at the charming Guesthouse, but it felt welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The bed was comfy, and having a coffee maker in the morning was a nice touch. The location worked well for us, with an easy walk to everything we wanted to see.

Check-in was extremely frustrating. Staffless wasn't mentioned when booking, and getting through the main door meant installing a bespoke app and agreeing to sketchy terms and conditions. Good luck if you don't want to keep downloading apps like that. Their WhatsApp help number is answered by AI, and even basic things were hard to find out, like where bike parking was or how to use the app when it kept failing. We ended up retrying for a couple of minutes at every door, every time we wanted to get in.

Ridiculous service. Getting through the front door was impossible without jumping through a billion hoops, and the hosts were extremely unhelpful.

The hotel itself was comfortable and nice to stay in. But the phone key cards were a total faff and didn't work properly, so we had to ring someone for help at 2am. They should just put up separate lockboxes with the keys in them, because this system is stupid. Also, the inside of the coffee machine was revolting. It needs cleaning.
