Cessinas

The town centre is about a 10-minute walk away. My room was comfortable, and the kitchen was clean and well equipped. A great place to stay.

My wife and mother-in-law stayed here and came away saying it was possibly the worst experience of their lives. There was only one key for the shared main door, so if another guest took it by accident, they couldn’t get in. Dust covered the room, and the beds were narrow and very uncomfortable. The host was the worst part. The room was extremely cold, with the temperature controlled by him. He had left the windows open and shut the radiator valve, which he only explained after they had pleaded with him for two hours. When they contacted booking, he threatened to remove them himself and leave the property. He didn’t cancel the reservation, but said he would return the money by bank transfer AFTER they left the room. He kept threatening the two women, who have health issues, and even turned off the heat while they were still inside, apparently to force them out. There’s much more that can’t fit in a simple review.

A nice b&b right in town, and you can easily walk to the centre.

I had a really good stay in Groningen. The location made everything convenient.
