A lovely place in a beautiful setting, with very friendly owners. I’ve been back several times and plan to return again.

You can step straight into the Witte Veen nature reserve for a walk, and there are wonderful cycling routes through the nearby reserves too. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, in a special, peaceful location. In the morning, free-roaming chickens and pigeons greet you outside. Highly recommended if you love nature!

Dag Frans en Monique, We had a wonderful 26 km bike ride yesterday. The scenery kept changing, and every part of it was lovely. We also enjoyed the honey and little potatoes, and there was plenty of peace and privacy. The photos make the homes look close together, but they’re actually laid out with lots of space. You can’t tell from the pictures how roomy they are, and they feel really luxurious. Your adapted holiday home is a wonderful initiative and worked so well for us, with its spacious layout, adjustable-height bed and raised toilet with grab rails. There’s still a lot for us to discover here, so we’d love to come back.

We’ll definitely come back. We love the quiet, the space and the cycling here. The apartment is cozy and clean, with a nicely open layout, and it’s lovely to sit on the terrace looking into the woods. We spotted a deer a few times, and chickens wander happily around the yard. The owner keeps bees and has a nice little shop with homemade honey, jam and other products. For fresh groceries, you’ll need to go to Haaksbergen or Enschede, though the Hollandmarkt supermarket is nearby. There’s no small freezer, which would be handy for bread. An extra bedside lamp would make evenings cozier than using the light over the dining table, and the terrace lamp wasn’t working and needs replacing. Be ready for wet weather, since the route from the paved road can be sandy and muddy, and the apartment is quite isolated from it.

I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The apartment was lovely, clean and so quiet, and the shop sells delicious homemade honey and jam.
