The quiet was a real treat, and I’m very happy to give this place five stars. We’re spending our summer holiday here with our two dogs, and the apartment is in a peaceful spot at the edge of a neighborhood of detached houses. Its little private garden is lovely for relaxing, and the place is charming, clean, and very well kept, with nothing worn or shabby. It has what two people need for an uncomplicated self-catering stay: a kitchenette with appliances, a small but clean bathroom, a TV corner, and comfortable garden furniture. Two good-quality bicycles, not electric, and a parking space are included at no extra cost. The supermarket is well stocked and less than 1,500 meters away. There’s no space for a child’s bed, so the apartment is really suited to a couple. A holiday without the grandchildren is perfectly fine too. For getting around, Koudekerke dike is only a short drive away, with walking to Zierikzee or cycling for miles as options from there. Zierikzee, Brouwershaven, Renesse, and Ouddorp are also within reach. Middelburg, Zoutelande, Oostkapelle, and Vrouwenpolder are about a 30-minute drive. Westschouwen is just around the corner, with its family-friendly beach, ice cream parlor, and pizzeria.
