The food was really good, and there was loads to keep the kids busy, all right there at the campground. I especially liked that they drove around to pick up the children and take them to the activities. The little grocery shop had a surprisingly good selection too. This was my first stop on a three-week trip, and it was a perfect start to the holiday. The only downside was our spot at the first campsite. It was quite windy there, so sitting outside wasn’t always comfortable. Still, we had a great time, and I’d definitely recommend the campground.

We stayed in a chalet with our 1 1/2-year-old. It looked nice and was well equipped, but some living room cupboards were damaged or wouldn’t close properly. There was also dirt under the sofa, bed, and other furniture. The smell was unbelievable, like sewage. Apparently something in the shower fittings was loose, so we had to call for service. They fixed it, but we shouldn’t have had to deal with that. The pool was very dirty, with mold and green grime. I wouldn’t recommend using it. The showers were far too hot and couldn’t be adjusted, so you could actually burn yourself. The reception staff weren’t very friendly and didn’t respond to messages in the app. Our door wouldn’t lock properly, and although we asked for a technician, nobody came. We also asked to borrow a ball while playing at the football pitch. There was a huge container full of them, but they said they didn’t like lending balls. I found that very rude.

The beach is just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy the coast. Strandpark de Zeeuwse Kust has a lot going for it as a family holiday spot, with a shop for daily essentials and a restaurant serving tasty meals. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly, and service overall was excellent. There’s plenty to keep children occupied: football and tennis courts, an indoor play area, a cinema, a large outdoor playground, and a swimming pool. New attractions are being built too, so the park looks set to offer even more. A real gem for families, and highly recommended.

The pool area was excellent, especially the main pool, and the location is superb. It’s a huge site, though it was quiet while we were there, despite us usually choosing smaller places. There are lots of facilities, friendly staff, and efficient service. Check-in details come through the app, but reception is there if you prefer. Choose your pitch carefully, as they have options for all sorts. It’s good for dogs too, with plenty of walking routes and most areas being dog friendly.

The new safari tents look nice, but we ran into several hassles during our stay. One bedroom had no light, and the shower leaked at random. The app and website also had a lot of wrong information. Safari tent guests can’t use the app and have to arrive while reception is open to get a key, but this wasn’t mentioned anywhere. We weren’t given enough wood to keep the hot tub going for the whole stay, and it took hours to get it lukewarm. The indoor playground closed earlier than advertised. We also only learned after being billed that late checkout cost twice what the app listed, even though we’d decided based on that information. The new wild water ride had opened, but there were no inner tubes available, despite the ride clearly being designed for them. The place has a lot of potential, but the price was far too high for the poor service and the stress of constantly getting incorrect information.
