Sorry, that was the worst camping experience I've ever had.

The cottages and grounds are kept in great shape, and our cottage had really good appliances that made the stay more comfortable. The owner, or whoever was in charge, was very friendly too. We first came across this Dutch holiday park by chance last year. We try to take a midweek break on the Dutch coast at least once each year.

We found it fine for a short break. It’s a quiet, simple park, and the welcome was really friendly. The apartments have basic but practical furnishings. There’s only enough crockery for the people staying, so you need to wash things after each use. Bed linen and towels were supplied. Just watch the lamp over the bed in one bedroom, hitting your head on it seems almost inevitable.

We came back for a second stay and enjoyed it just as much. The chalets we've had were clean, modern, and nicely decorated, and the service was excellent. On our first visit, construction was happening right beside our chalet. Reception gave us two bottles of wine as compensation, a thoughtful gesture. The boys were happy to have a soccer field, and there was also a room with billiards, table tennis, darts, and other games.
