Brasss Hotel Suites

Snacks are available on every floor, and we found complimentary drinks in our room. There isn't a restaurant, but that wasn't a problem for us. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, with a good layout and comfy beds. It's right in the centre of Haarlem. We'd happily stay again when we're in town, and thoroughly recommend it.

The room was large, quiet, and well equipped, and the hotel itself is beautiful in a perfect location. But there was a terrible smell in the room throughout our stay. When we raised it, the staff said they knew about the problem but couldn't work out where it came from. We paid full price, so it was disappointing they didn't tell us at check-in or offer any compensation. I would have given it a top rating otherwise.

The location made everything easy, with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. We had dinner at Wilma & Albert’s and enjoyed hearing the stories behind the artwork and the history. Toast was great for coffee and pastries, and Samabe next door had a stylish, cozy feel for cocktails. We rented bikes from Green Bikes and rode through the nature preserve and sand dunes, then on to Zandvoort for more shops and food. It was an easy, beautiful ride. Back at the hotel, the welcome was warm, our room was spacious and had everything we needed, and the front desk gave us helpful tips for local sights and activities. There were complimentary drinks, snacks, treats, and even wine in the lobby. We loved staying here and can't recommend it enough!

Leila the manager went above and beyond for us. She really has a heart of gold, and we're so thankful for the unforgettable stay. We had to leave our Airbnb after finding mold and were looking for somewhere in Haarlem with my wife and two-year-old son. We wandered into Brasss, and they found a way to fit us in for two weeks at short notice during summer 2024. Half the time we stayed in the biggest, best penthouse suite, though I forgot its name. We loved the little nook table by the window. Each floor had goodies and water stocked every day, the mini fridge was filled with what we wanted, and there were treats and great coffee in the lobby. The staff were always extremely kind. At first I felt bad bringing a high-energy toddler to such a nice place, but they loved Maverick. He brought them joy during our many daily trips down for chocolates, fruit, and coffee. For the second half, we moved to an apartment. It wasn't as grand as the suite, but the separate rooms and kitchen were more practical for a family. The location is a dream, and the whole experience was high quality.
