The house was filthy when it was handed over: dirty mattress, floors, and shelves, plus a shower drain clogged with what looked like years of buildup. The kitchen extractor hood was broken and covered in dust and grease, and the air conditioner was moldy. Under the contract, the company was meant to service and clean the air conditioner, but the landlord didn't do that. The old washing machine often left clothes smelling of mold, so I had to throw them away. The landlord regularly ignored messages for days. Once, he let himself in without warning and came into the bedroom while I was asleep with a cold. On another occasion, his assistant entered without warning to clean, even though we'd already refused cleaning. That was a serious invasion of personal space, and, as I understand it, illegal. When I moved out, I left new furniture and a brand-new dryer in the house. It was clean, and the landlord received a video showing its condition. A month later, I still hadn't heard back or received my deposit, which the contract says he must return. He continues to ignore my attempts to contact him, including the lawyer's request. My stay in one of the Cozy Loft houses in Haarlem was disgusting. Never deal with Cozy Loft. They rent awful housing, come into your home without warning, and, in the end, just steal from you. You can find similar reviews and see that keeping the deposit seems to be a common practice for this company.

I'm staying in one of the Cozy Lofts apartments now, and I can't recommend it. It's dirty, there's no air conditioning, and the inside temperature is 31 degrees, actually hotter than outside. The previous guests' garbage and dirty laundry were still in the apartment when we arrived, and they were still there two days into our stay.

It's been a month since the contract ended, and I still haven't received my deposit. The agreement said it should be returned within seven working days. The landlord keeps ignoring my WhatsApp messages and emails. The house wasn't cleaned when I got it, and the washing machine was old. The landlord often went days without responding. When I moved out, I left furniture I'd bought, but got no reimbursement or even a simple thank-you. My stay in one of Cozy Loft's houses in Haarlem was the worst I've ever had. Don't deal with Cozy Loft, and don't waste your nerves, money, or time on this.

I'm still waiting for an apology, an explanation, and compensation for this stay. I haven't had any response to date. I'd be willing to start a dialogue, but the landlord would need to get in touch. I booked four apartments through the official website and received confirmation. One day before arrival, the employee in charge, Marquez, told me I could only move into two of them. He offered two newly renovated apartments instead. The original apartments were supposed to be available at 1 pm and the replacements at 4 pm, but neither time was met. We were only able to get into some of the apartments at 6 pm. After the poor communication and complete lack of punctuality and reliability, the two supposedly brand-new apartments were the worst part. The stairwell was still a shell, and both apartments were construction sites, full of equipment and simply not rentable. See pictures. This stay was thoroughly disappointing and an imposition. The accommodation's location and the shortage of options for groups in Haarlem seem to be exploited by the landlord at any price. Communication is miserable. Avoid this place, even if some of its ratings are good.
