Haarlem 49

The host was fantastic, and the apartment was lovely, clean, and comfortable. The modern bathroom was excellent, and the mattress was new and super comfortable. There was a kettle and espresso machine in the room. It's a five-minute drive to the nearest train station, then just 13 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre. Trains run every 15 minutes. I hope to come back!

The location is very quiet, though quite far out. The host was helpful and had good tips. The room and bathroom were modern and very clean. Breakfast was generous and varied, though there was a bit too much plastic.

Breakfast is an optional extra at €13.50. It was tasty, but perhaps a bit too substantial for the price. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the place. The room is in a house at the end of a street in a very quiet neighborhood. There's a front garden with a bench where you can relax, and the back room looks onto the owners' private garden. That might be a small drawback, although the owners weren't there during my stay. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was perfectly fine. The price is affordable.

The hosts have clearly put care into all the little details, and after one night we already felt at home. We only turned up late in the evening on a whim for a single night, but they welcomed us so warmly. The place was even better than we expected. We’d happily recommend it.
