B&B Helena's Hoeve

Such a peaceful, idyllic spot. The hostess was lovely, and breakfast was great.

The owners are welcoming and always ready to help, and the bed and shower were both fantastic. We stayed in the Room with King Bed and Garden View, which was beautiful, and we also got to see the Large Double Room. I’d choose the garden view room again, though its steep stairs on the first floor could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or who prefers to avoid climbing stairs. The peaceful countryside setting makes a lovely base for walks in the Leudal, while Roermond is just a 5 to 10-minute drive away. Breakfast came to our room in a picnic basket: warm rolls, a delicious soft-boiled egg, sweet and savory toppings, orange juice, and milk. There were plenty of coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine and tea bags too. If you have a favorite capsule flavor, bring your own. When the weather’s good, you can eat breakfast in the beautiful garden. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a lovely swim in the pool and enjoyed the quiet outdoors. Stephanie and Lucien made us feel very welcome, and their passion for the B&B really came through. Our room had a traditional feel, with lots of space, a large bathroom, a comfy sofa, and plenty of coffee and tea. Breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care.

We visited in March, with rain and a lovely blanket of snow over the blooming crocuses. We enjoyed a walk through the charming village, and Roermond is nearby. The breakfast was amazing, with warm rolls and tasty toppings. The garden and pool must be wonderful in spring or summer. The room was spotless, the towels were wonderfully soft, and there were lots of pillows on the comfortable bed. Such a lovely place to stay.
