Everything was great. The clean, well-kept holiday apartment is a short walk from town and the beach, with a restaurant right next door. It has a fully equipped kitchen, an eat-in area overlooking the courtyard, and a garden table behind the house. There’s also a shower, heated towel rail, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and IP TV. Blackout blinds and curtains made for restful sleep.

The location made it easy to walk into the city center or down to the water, and the rear ground-floor apartment was a good choice for avoiding the restaurant terrace noise, which lasted until 10 PM. We enjoyed our two nights, but the building carries sound and has little atmosphere. We could clearly hear the upstairs neighbors’ TV. Although things looked relatively new, construction quality didn’t seem to be a priority. The apartment had what we needed, just not a cozy feel.

The owners were very friendly, and breakfast, which I booked, was delicious and more than enough. The apartment was neat, lovely, and clean, with comfortable beds, which matter a lot to me. It’s perfectly placed, right by the market square and its terraces, and just past the city walls you’re at the city beach. I could see Lake Veluwe from the apartment. Highly recommended for a stay in Harderwijk!

We had a wonderful stay from August 11 to 14, 2023. The cottage had everything we needed, and there’s parking beside the apartment. The lovely terraces along the Boulevard are an easy walk away. We’ll definitely come back.
